How ChatterEase helps
Handles pre-enrolment questions
Who it's for, prerequisites, format and pricing are answered from your course pages, so a prospective student gets a straight answer before they buy.
Supports students after they enrol
Access, downloads, module order and certificates are answered at any hour, which is when students tend to study.
Explains your refund policy the same way every time
Pin your refund policy as a Q&A reply and every student gets the same wording. Clear terms before purchase mean fewer surprises after.
Set it up in an afternoon
A simple plan anyone can follow. Start on the Free plan and upgrade only when you outgrow it.
Add your course pages and syllabus
In the Train tab, add each course's sales page and syllabus. If your syllabus or student handbook is a PDF, Word or markdown file, upload it.
Add access, refund and certificate details
Add your pricing page, refund and access policy, certificate information and your student help page. On Growth and Pro, set course pages to update on a schedule so new cohort dates are picked up.
Pin your refund policy and prices
In the Q&A tab, pin the exact wording of your refund policy, your prices and payment plan terms, and any accreditation claims. These must never be paraphrased.
Test it as a prospect and as a student
Ask "Is this right for a complete beginner?", "Can I pay in instalments?", "I can't log in" and "Can you check my assignment?". The last two should go to a person.
Turn on lead capture before launch
On Growth and Pro, turn on the lead capture form so prospects with questions leave an email, and use the greeting bubble on your sales page. Add suggested question chips like "Who is this for?" and "What's included?".
Install it on your sales and student pages
Copy the script from the Embed tab. There are guides for WordPress, Webflow, Squarespace and Shopify.
Install guides for your website
Each screen is explained in the docs. Rather have someone show you? Get a demo.
After launch, read the Conversations tab now and then to see what people ask, and add any missing answers to your pages or the Q&A tab. Growth and Pro add full conversation analytics, including busy hours and top questions.
What it should answer, and what it should hand to a person
The AI agent answers from your own pages and files. Some questions need a person, and it should pass those on instead of guessing.
What it should answer
- What's in the course, module by module
- Who it's for and what experience it assumes
- Prices, payment plans and what's included, as published
- Access length, downloads and certificates
- Your refund policy, in your exact wording
- Cohort dates and how live sessions work
What it should hand to a person
- Login and access problems with a student's own account
- Refund requests (it can explain the policy, not process one)
- Payments and invoices (it cannot take payments)
- Help with a student's own assignment or grades
- Whether the course is right for one person's situation
- Team, group or company licence enquiries
ChatterEase cannot take payments, change orders, look up order status or book appointments in your other systems. It shares your links and passes those requests to your team. On Starter a visitor reaches you through a contact form. On Growth and Pro you also get an email alert when someone asks for a person.
See it in action
Questions people ask, and what a good answer looks like.
Is this course beginner friendly?
It starts from the fundamentals in [your first module] before moving to [your next stage]. [Any prior experience you do assume, stated plainly]. [Who it's aimed at].
Do I get lifetime access?
A purchase includes [your access terms], plus [future updates if included]. You can [download or revisit specifics] [offline viewing, if offered].
How long do I have to finish it?
You have [your time limit, if there is one]. Most students finish in [your realistic timeframe]. [Any deadlines or certificate conditions].
These are templates, not transcripts. Text in [square brackets] is where your own details go: your menu, your hours, your policy. ChatterEase answers from content you give it, so the specifics it gets right are the ones you have already written down.
What to train ChatterEase on
Start with these. Add each one as a page address, or upload it as a PDF, Word (.docx), text or markdown file.
- Course landing pages and syllabus
- Prerequisites and who it's for
- Pricing, plans and what's included
- Refund and access policy
- Student support and contact details
- Certificates and accreditation
Getting leads from it
Course sites are where lead capture earns its keep. A prospect with a question is often close to buying, and an email address lets you answer properly.
When to ask for an email
- A prospect asking if the course is right for them
- Questions about the next cohort or waitlist
- Team, group or company enrolment enquiries
- A question your course pages don't answer
Don't gate the syllabus or pricing behind a form. Answer first, then offer to keep in touch.
What you get
- A lead capture form in the widget, on Growth and Pro. Starter has a contact form for passing a visitor to a person.
- A leads inbox (the Leads tab) with each person's name, email and message, on Growth and Pro.
- An email alert when a visitor asks for a person, on Growth and Pro.
- CSV export of your leads, on Pro.
- Webhooks on every plan, to send new leads to Zapier, Make, n8n or your own endpoint.
Which plan fits
Start on the Free plan, then paid plans run from $14.99 a month. No card is needed to start, and each paid plan includes a one-time 14-day trial.
Our suggestion
Growth
$29.99 /monthor $23.99/month billed yearly
3 AI agents · Unlimited conversations a month · 25 documents
We suggest Growth for most course creators. Lead capture turns sales-page questions into emails you can follow up, scheduled updates keep course pages current, and 3 AI agents let you set one up per course or brand.
A single course with a small audience can start on Starter. Larger schools with many courses, or those who want CSV export of leads, API access or a white-label widget, should look at Pro.
Paying yearly takes 20% off. Local tax calculated at checkout.
Questions about an AI agent for education & online courses
Will it sell a course to the wrong student?
Only if you set it up that way. Have it answer fit and prerequisites plainly from your pages, then hand the "is it right for me?" decision to a person. A hard sell that leads to refunds and bad reviews isn't worth it.
Can it handle course payments?
No. It cannot take payments. Point it at your checkout or payment plan page so students get the right link, and keep the transaction in your payment provider.
How much does an AI agent for an online course cost?
Start free, then Starter is $14.99 a month, Growth is $29.99 and Pro is $49.99. Paying yearly takes 20% off, and you don't need a card to start. Local tax is added at checkout. We suggest Growth for most course creators, for the lead capture form.
How long does it take to set up for a course?
Most of the work is gathering what you already have: your website pages and a few files. You add those in the Train tab, test it with real questions, pin a few exact answers in the Q&A tab, then paste one script tag on your site. The setup plan on this page goes step by step, and the docs cover each screen. Your sales page, syllabus and refund policy are enough to start. Add student help content after.
Can it answer questions about my course content?
It answers from the pages and files you train it on. If the answer is not in your content, it says it doesn't know, and when a visitor keeps getting that, it offers to put them in touch with your team. It can still be wrong if a page is out of date or unclear, so test it after changes and pin exact replies in the Q&A tab for anything that must be word for word. It works best for questions about the course itself, like structure, access and certificates. Tutoring a student on their own assignment is different, and a confident wrong answer can hurt their grade, so pass those to a person.
What happens to what students type into it?
Conversations are saved to your dashboard so you can read them in the Conversations tab and see what people ask. Anything you train it on can show up in an answer to any visitor, so only use content you would be happy to publish. Ask visitors for no more than you need, usually a name and an email address. Students sometimes share login details when they are stuck. Tell them in your greeting not to, and pass access problems to a person.
Does it work on my course website and on phones?
Yes. ChatterEase works on WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Webflow, Squarespace and HTML sites, and anywhere else you can add a script tag. There is a step-by-step guide for each platform. The widget works on phones as well as computers, and Pro adds advanced mobile layout controls. Many students study on a phone, so test it on one before launch.
Works on the website you already have
One script tag. No rebuild and no move to a new website.
