• •Payment information: processed by Lemon Squeezy; ChatterEase never stores card details
• •Business content: documents and website content you upload to train your chatbots
• •Communications: messages you send to our support team

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• •Usage data: pages visited, features used, clicks, session duration
• •Device information: browser type, operating system, screen resolution
• •IP address and approximate location (country level)
• •Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Cookie Policy for full details)

1.3 Information from Third Parties

• •Authentication data from Clerk (our identity provider)
• •Payment status from Lemon Squeezy (our payment processor)

We use your data to:

• •Provide, operate, and improve ChatterEase
• •Process payments and manage subscriptions
• •Send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, plan changes)
• •Respond to support requests
• •Analyze usage patterns to improve features
• •Comply with legal obligations
• •Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

We do NOT:

• •Sell your personal data to third parties
• •Use your training content to train our AI models for other customers
• •Share your data with advertisers
• •Access your chatbot conversations except when required for support

• •All data is stored on secure servers (Supabase / AWS infrastructure)
• •Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256)
• •Access to your data is restricted to authorized ChatterEase personnel only
• •We perform regular security audits
• •In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users within 72 hours

• •Account data: retained while your account is active + 30 days after deletion
• •Chatbot training data: deleted immediately when you delete the chatbot
• •Conversation logs: retained for 90 days, then automatically deleted
• •Payment records: retained for 7 years (legal requirement)
• •Backup data: purged within 30 days

You have the right to:

• •Access: request a copy of all data we hold
• •Correction: fix inaccurate or incomplete data
• •Deletion: request deletion of your account and all associated data ("right to be forgotten")
• •Portability: export your data in a machine-readable format
• •Objection: object to processing of your data
• •Restriction: limit how we process your data

ChatterEase is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us immediately at privacy@chatterease.com.

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you by email and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
